Proline Media is one of the very few studios that has the capability of acquiring, editing and outputting your project in 1080i High Definition. Many video professionals are reluctant to make the jump to HD and to make excuses as to why they continue to remain with Standard Definition. Some shoot in HD but still output all of their projects in Standard Definition because they do not have the capability to output to HD. We shoot all of our projects with Sony professional grade HD cameras and output to several formats including Flash, Quicktime and Windows Media and streaming for the web. Plus we also output for broadcast and to Standard DVDs as well as Blu Ray DVD with fully authored menus that can be web interactive.
Most of the content you now see on your television is shot in HD and output in SD and HD. What is even more interesting is that most of that programming is shot with the same or similar Sony HD cameras that we use. Why would you want your project done in anything but the absolute best? There are some projects that we still do in Standard Definition but most often now we upscale that footage into something usable for HD.
We use a combination or editing platforms from Adobe and Avid and several 3D applications that allow us to create quite a few effects and titling options that other local video studios are not capable of creating. For instance when you are watching your local or even network news programs, all of those really complicated looking motion graphics they use to open their programs and to go to commercial break, some of those may have come from our studios. You may have been to a sporting event and looked at the huge video screen and seen our handiwork as well. We also now have the capability to record direct to hard drive and we can edit and output some projects right on site. This is especially useful for our Prep Sports clients who need the game we just shot available on DVD to trade with the next opponent right away.
